Family Guy DVD is an animated television series created by Seth MacFarlane for Fox Broadcasting Company. The series focuses on the Griffins, a dysfunctional family consisting of parents of Peter and Lois, and their children Meg, Chris, Stewie and Brian anthropomorphic dog and his pet. The show uses frequent cutaway gags, often in the form of tangential vignettes that American culture parodia.MacFarlane Parent conceived after developing two animated films, The Life of Larry and Larry and Steve. MacFarlane redesigned film star of Larry and his dog Steve, changes his name to Peter and Brian, respectively. Shortly after the third season of Family Guy aired in 2001, Fox canceled the series. However, DVD sales and high favorable ratings for syndicated reruns convinced the network to renew the program in 2004. The series takes place in the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island, based on the upbringing and education of MacFarlane.
