The Bachelorette: Alternate Endings Filmed?

July 29th, 2010

With just a few days remaining until The Bachelorette season finale, speculation is still running rampant about what its star, Ali Fedotowsky, decides.

Does she choose Roberto Martinez or Chris Lambton? Does she reject both remaining suitors in what would amount to a huge emotional letdown?

Whatever the case, the show has done well keeping it under wraps. All Bachelorette spoilers we know are the same ones we’ve known for weeks.

Perhaps this is a testament to the greatness of Reality Steve, god among spoiler fiends for several seasons and perennial thorn in Mike Fleiss’ side.

While he stands by what he says happens (follow the link above to read about it), he admits he has been stymied somewhat regarding the finale.

There’s even a theory circulating that producers went so far as to film two different episodes of the After The Final Rose special as a smokescreen.

Ali Looking On

Are Ali Fedotowsky and The Bachelorette plotting a real surprise?

Ratings for the show have not exactly suffered as a result of spoilers leaking, but just the same, ABC would likely nix this occurrence if possible.

Would they really go to such lengths, though?

The lack of a single shot of the final rose ceremony in any preview to date is also strange. Could it be there is no ceremony or final rose doled out?

This theory is supported by Ali’s vague comments about her tough decision, being content with what she did, etc. But it could be part of the act.

Is it possible that, just maybe, producers and Ali Fedotowsky pushed the decision back until the After The Final Rose special, which is being secretly taped this week, and no one knows the outcome because it hasn’t been decided yet?

That’s just our hypothesis, but longtime host and pimp Chris Harrison said that something happens on the finale unlike anything we’ve seen before. We’ve seen people simply pick no one and go home. This would be unprecedented.

In any case, who do you think Ali should pick?

Ali Fedotowsky: Confident in Her Decision

July 18th, 2010

According to Us Weekly, The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky ends up engaged on the show’s August 2 finale, and is now planning an early 2011 wedding.

According to The Bachelorette spoilers we’ve read? Not the case.

There are conflicting reports, clearly, regarding what the blonde cutie will do when the field stands at just two and that final rose is ready to be doled out.

Some, including the aforementioned tabloid, cite anonymous sources and vague quotes to “prove” she’s engaged. Other sources claim she’s quite single.

What does Ali herself have to say about it right now? “I’m just confident in the decisions I made,” Fedotowsky told ET Thursday at an event in Hollywood.

Hmm …

A Cute Bachelorette

On this past Monday’s episode, she booted Kirk DeWindt and narrowed her choices to this trio: Roberto Martinez, Chris Lambton, and Frank Neuschaefer.

As for which two make it to the season finale?

“Both guys have so much integrity,” Ali Fedotowsky said. “They are stand-up, honorable and have a lot of respect for others. I just think they are men.”

In other words, Frank is toast. Two-timing jerk.

She added, “They’re the type of guys that any mother or father dream that their daughter would find. I think that’s what makes them really great guys!”

Wow, spoiler alert! A little warning next time?

The reality star is looking forward to the finale being over. “I’m sort of in limbo right now…. I’m really looking forward to everything sort of wrapping up!”

Who should Ali choose on The Bachelorette?

The Bachelorette’s Ali Fedotowsky is well aware of the reality show’s terrible track record at finding love.

After having her own heart broken by former Bachelor Jake Pavelka, and then watching Pavelka’s subsequent relationship with Vienna Girardi come to an end, Ali knows the risks of looking for a relationship on national TV…

The Bachelorette: Most. Dramatic. Episode. Ever.

June 29th, 2010

As soon as Ali Fedotowsky declared in the opening moments that she has never felt better, you knew The Bachelorette was going to be good. But not this good.

Not even the spoilers we’ve known all season long could have prepared us for the unspeakable awesomeness that was the ABC show’s outing of Justin Rego.

According to reports, it wasn’t even faked. Rated R was legitimately busted, undone by his two-timing ways in Canada, a scandal dumped in producers’ laps.

It was classic.

Obviously, you can’t help but wonder what was re-edited, re-shot or flat-out contrived, but does it really matter? This is reality TV entertainment at its best.

The rest of the episode was pretty dull, but that can be forgiven, thanks to the opening sequences? THG breaks down all the action below in its +/- index …

An Ali Fedotowsky PictureJustin Rego Picture

RATED R FOR REJECTED: Ali sent Justin packing.

In Turkey, venerable Bachelorette host Chris Harrison is the bearer of bad news for Ali Fedotowsky. Plus 9, because as a pimp, you gotta protect your employees.

Ali’s friend and former co-star on Jake Pavelka’s season, Jessie Sudilis, NEEDS to speak to her now. Minus 3, though, ’cause it takes 50 rings for her to answer.

Somehow, Jessie knows Justin Rego’s girlfriend, Jessica Spillas, who just found out Justin was cheating on HER with Kimberly Kerekes. Plus 5. Nice, Rated R.

After a loooong phone call, we learn from Jessie that Justin only went on The Bachelorette for publicity. Minus 7 because we don’t buy Ali’s “stunned” face.

Plus 3 for the documentary-style filming, (relatively) unedited and without music, and Plus 6 more for Chris busting out an iPhone pic of Justin and Jessica.

Minus 1 for the fact that Jessie is gona be on Bachelor Pad, and Minus 5 for the time-honored, scripted line: “I know he’s not there for the right reasons.”

Ali calls Justin out publicly, asking if he misses his girlfriend in Canada. Plus 10. He reacts how any upstanding guy would … he makes a run for it! Plus 17.

Pimpin

TAKIN’ CARE OF BUSINESS: Host-pimp Chris makes the call.

It only gets better as Ali gives chase and Justin escapes, only to come limping back later. He tries to talk his way out of it, but he’s a really bad liar. Minus 9.

Justin hobbles off, presumably stranded in a Turkish bazaar. Plus 7. As he does so, messages he left Jessica while he was on the show are played. Plus 12.

Finally, we move on to Ty’s date with Ali in a Turkish bathhouse, one of many reasons this was the most homoerotic episode of The Bachelorette ever. Even.

Ty talks about his divorce, Tenley Molzahn style, and we know this is supposed to be a powerful moment and all, but Minus 4, because it just can’t compare.

On the group date, Kirk, Chris, Roberto and Craig wrestle random Turkish dudes, then each other, while covered in olive oil. See two sentences above. Plus 6.

Craig prevails, but Chris L. is the true winner with his good looks and hilarious comments. Will he get engaged to Ali (see The Bachelorette spoilers)? Plus 7.

On Craig’s date, he falls so hard into the friend zone, his fate is sealed. Minus 4. Contrast that with Frank’s date, in which they’re all over each other. Plus 4.

Oh, Plus 5 for Ali’s belly-dancing outfit. They had to throw us guys something.

TOTAL: +58. SEASON: +159.

Roses: Ty and Frank (earlier dates), Roberto, Chris and Kirk.

Out: Justin (abandoned in Istanbul) and Craig (friend zone).

The Bachelorette Sneak Preview: Barenaked Ali Fedotowsky Sparks Jealousy

June 7th, 2010

Tonight on The Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky must walk the tightrope with a suitor … literally. To reach their dinner date, they must embark on this dangerous quest.

The adventure will bring them closer together and so on and so forth. This is a Bachelor staple. We’re just happy the guy is Roberto Martinez. He seems decent.

Meanwhile, The Bachelorette spoilers predicted, the guys begin to grow suspicious of Justin Rego, a.k.a. Rated R, and his motivation for coming on the program.

Perhaps the biggest fireworks of all, however, come as Ali and nine of the guys film scenes for a new Barenaked Ladies video. Yes, those guys are still around.

When Ali and Kirk blur the line between acting and real feelings during a very hot scene, one of her early favorites starts to get jealous. This is gonna be good.

Here’s a sneak peek of tonight’s The Bachelorette

Ali Fedotowsky and Vienna Girardi: It’s All Good!

May 26th, 2010

The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky, whose season premiered last night, says she’s no longer feuding with nemesis Vienna Girardi. All together now … Phew.

Chris Harrison, the show’s pimp-in-chief, confirmed the hatchet burying at Dancing With the Stars (which aired right after The Bachelorette season premiere).

The two ladies, who famously clashed on The Bachelor while in competition for Jake Pavelka, even “hugged each other and, said ‘Hi,’” back stage at the taping.

“That’s one of the ways Ali has grown as a person,” Chris said.

What, by not being a completely catty b!tch? Great job, Ali!

Bachelorette AliVienna Girardi Topless

The Bachelorette star Ali, left, and The Bachelor winner Vienna … yeah.

Back in the day, Ali Fedotowsky would call out Vienna Girardi for, among other things, bragging that she’d “shake her boobs in Jake’s face,” but not any longer.

“[Ali] regretted some of that,” Harrison added. “I get it. Look, in the heat of the moment, on the show, you say some things, you regret certain things, there are things you look back and might not do and that was one of them. She apologized for that.”

Fedotowsky is “so happy for Jake,” Harrison went on about the new star. “She realizes now that it wasn’t meant to be, she wasn’t supposed to be with Jake.”

Harrison said he thinks Vienna Girardi got a bad rap as the villain on the show, and that anyone writing her off is presumptuous. Can’t we all just get along?

Apparently we can/ Jake Pavelka even posted a pic on Facebook of him, his fiancee and Ali. Oh, how times change (click here to be THG’s Facebook friend).
