Armless pianist Liu Wei was crowned champion of the first season of China’s Got Talent, according to Reuters.
Wei, a 23-year-old Beijing native, sang and played “You’re Beautiful” with his toes, beating out a 7-year-old comedian for the win. At the awards ceremony, Taiwanese artist Jolin Tsai invited Wei to perform on her world tour.

Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Courtney Galiano are among the 12 all-star finalists returning to So You Think You Can Dance this summer, Fox announced Friday.
So You Think You Can Dance executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe announced last month that 12 former finalists would return for the series’ seventh season. The returning dancers will be paired with a different Season 7 finalist each week. Because contestants will be paired with all-stars, this year will see a drastically reduced group of finalists competing for the title.

“I love the changes on So You Think You Can Dance because the audience is going to get to focus on a single major contestant each week and because of the all-stars, they’re going to make the kids work much harder,” judge Adam Shankman told reporters at the College Emmy Awards earlier this month.

The Daytime Emmys are taking a gamble on Sin City.
The ceremony will be broadcast from Las Vegas for the first time when the 37th annual awards show airs on CBS on Sunday, June 27 at 9/8c, the network announced Friday.

“The Daytime Emmy Awards are one of the cornerstones of our business and we are thrilled to be back on CBS,” National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences chairman Herb Granath said in a statement. “Last year’s show was one of the most entertaining events in our history, and this year’s Las Vegas-based broadcast promises to be even more exciting.”
Emmy award winner David McKenzie will serve as executive producer of the telecast. Nominations will be announced on May 12.
The 2009 Daytime Emmy Awards drew just 2.68 million viewers on the CW. Top prizes went to The Bold and the Beautiful for best drama and Rachael Ray for best entertainment talk show.
