Lindsay Lohan in German GQ: Where is the Ankle Monitor?

July 16th, 2010

Lindsay Lohan recently posed for the German issue of GQ, and we have to admit, looks more or less attractive and even coherent in the first pics released.

The weird thing? There’s no signs of her court-ordered ankle monitor - and we know she had it on because it was visible in the behind-the-scenes photos.

Not that it matters, of course, and it’s hard to blame GQ for not wanting to distract its readers from an otherwise enticing set of Lindsay Lohan pictures.

But it makes you wonder. How much airbrushing goes on, even when there is no SCRAM device involved? Take a look at Lindsay in Germany’s GQ below:

In German GQCave Girl HuntLohan: German GQ CoverAnkle Monitor is Off!

CAVE GIRL HUNT: Lindsay gets in touch with her primitive side.

As we reported yesterday, Lindsay is reportedly in rehab ahead of her July 20 sentencing for violating her probation. Hopefully she’s allowed to stay there.

She faces a 90-day jail term, but by proactively checking herself into a sober living house, which she should have done months ago, she took a big step.

We just hope the judge sees it that way and Lindsay can get well.

Miley Cyrus Performances: On The Late Show, With Bret Michaels

June 18th, 2010

While Perez Hilton is basking in the spotlight and milking his Miley Cyrus photo controversy for all its worth, the 17-year old singer at the center of this scandal is acting like the mature one.

(Man, we never thought we’d write that about Miley Cyrus.)

Instead of harping on that situation, Miley is focusing on her music: she appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, joked with the host about Twitter and then performed “Can’t Be Tamed.” Most amazingly, she did it while wearing pants!

Miley on Late Show

From there, Cyrus woke up today and took to the stage with Bret Michaels.

First, though, she continued to defend her racy new image, saying on Good Morning America:

“You have to be who you are to the full. There’s nothing that I’m holding back. And that’s what I want to give to my girl fans. Just be who you are.”

Ah, there’s the pompous Miley Cyrus we know and love… to mock: sounding all high and mighty about her music when, in reality, she’s just another recycled pop singer that wears skimpy clothing to prove how “edgy” she is.

Moreover, and we truly mean this with no predisposed bias or opinion of the singer, but just as people with two working ears: Miley sounds HORRIBLE in the following duet:

LT Rape Defense: Still Sex Offender Material

May 23rd, 2010

Even if you take NFL legend Lawrence Taylor at his word about merely masturbating in front of a 16-year-old girl and not having relations with her, that’s still shady.

It’s also still criminal behavior.

Taylor’s rape defense he could still mean ending up a registered sex offender.

Which makes sense. It’s not as if it absolves him of wrongdoing in the situation. After all, the former New York Giant is accused of patronizing an underage hooker.

If a jury does buy Lawrence’s expected argument, that he pleasured himself in front of the girl but did not have sex with her, he would qualify as a sex offender.

Sad LT

LT may be the football Hall of Fame’s first registered sex offender.

He could be forced to register as one, too. LT’s defense team is aware of this, and his lawyers are doing “everything possible to keep LT off the sex offender registry.”

Taylor was arrested and charged earlier this month for his encounter with the teenage prostitute in a New York State Holiday Inn. This is pretty sickening stuff.

Taylor says she said she was 19.

Michelle McGee: Men Will Spread Their Seed

May 14th, 2010

The Michelle McGee PR tour continues.

Relentlessly milking her infamous status as Jesse James’ mistress for every cent it’s worth, “Bombshell” is featured in the new issue of Steppin’ Out magazine.

What a cheap hack. Pretty gross, too.

Apparently under the impression people care what she thinks, Michelle McGee before she became a mistress, she believed “if a man cheats it’s horrible.”

But now? “I think men are made to spread their seed. Women need to accept that. You need to know that men are not meant to be with one woman.”

Class act, this one.

Classy BombshellSoCal Glamour Girl

Michelle “Bombshell” McGee attempts to act classy.

“I think you can totally love your spouse and sleep with other women,” says the Nazi with colored friends. “That urge will always be there if you’re a man.”

“I believe you can love your wife 100 percent and still stray.”

The lady also says she feels bad for Sandra Bullock. Sure.

“It should be a happy time in her life,” Michelle says. “She shouldn’t be worried about this. She should be enjoying her time with her baby and celebrating. So I do feel bad about all this. I’d like to sit down and talk to her over lunch.”

Mmm. Don’t know if we’d hold our breath or wait by the phone.

As for Jesse James, she says she doesn’t buy rumors that he had a sex addiction problem, claiming that “It’s just an easy way to explain why you cheated.”

Okay, we’ll give her that. Sorry, Jesse and Tiger Woods.

Polanski Breaks Silence: I’m Being Served "On a Platter to the Media"

May 3rd, 2010

Roman Polanski

Oscar-winning filmmaker Roman Polanski said Sunday that he is being treated unfairly and that the U.S. is demanding his extradition from Switzerland in order to serve him “on a platter to the media,” reports The Associated Press.

Polanski’s latest appeal rejected

“I have had my share of dramas and joys, as we all have, and I am not going to try to ask you to pity my lot in life,” Polanski said, breaking his months-long silence. “I ask only to be treated fairly like anyone else.”

The 76-year old director of Chinatown and The Pianist accused Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley, who is running for California attorney general, of using the case for publicity. The district attorney’s spokeswoman, Sandi Gibbons, said the D.A.’s office “will withhold comment until the Swiss make a decision on his fugitive status.”

Polanski’s victim wants case dismissed

Polanski’s most recent bid to have his case reviewed by a special counsel or to be sentenced in his absence was rejected last month by a California appeals court. Swiss officials say the Justice Ministry will not rush into a decision for extradition.

Polanski, whose most recent film is The Ghost Writer, was placed under house arrest at his chalet in Gstaad in November 2009. He was arrested Sept. 26 by Swiss authorities and is wanted by U.S. authorities for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. He fled the United States in 1978 for France after pleading guilty to one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with the girl.

Tiki Barber Accused of Traci Lynn Johnson Affair, Dumps Pregnant Wife Ginny Barber

April 7th, 2010

In his worst career move since retiring one year before the New York Giants won the Super Bowl, Today Show correspondent and former NFL star Tiki Barber has dumped his wife, Ginny, for former NBC intern Traci Lynn Johnson, reports say.

Tracy Lynn Johnson is just 23. They have two sons already and Ginny Barber is eight months pregnant with twins. A twin himself, you’d think Tiki would respect that. Then again, maybe Ronde Barber is really the one cheating. Think about it.

Ginny found out about the scandalous relationship late last year. Johnson, a model-thin bombshell, was photographed sitting next to Tiki at a Washington, D.C., screening of a documentary on Senegal that he hosted for the Travel Channel.

Sources believe Johnson also accompanied Tiki to Senegal for the filming late last year, when Ginny was three months pregnant. The affair is particularly stunning in light of Barber’s long-standing disdain for his philandering father.

Barber’s confidants were shocked at his conduct. One said:

“We were shocked to find out that he could walk out on his wife of 11 years while she’s pregnant with twins. He was with this girl in Senegal while Ginny was three months pregnant. And we believe she was also with him at the Olympics in Vancouver.”

Barber, who is believed to have relocated to an Upper West Side bachelor paid, released a statement yesterday in response to the Post story announcing the split:

“After 11 years of marriage, Ginny and I have decided to separate,” Barber said. “This decision was a painful one, but we are moving forward amicably and will continue to work together to raise our children with the love and dedication they have always known.”

Tiki had no additional comment. Ginny is a former fashion publicist and full-time mom to the couple’s two sons, A.J., 7, and Chason, 6. She also declined comment.

Man, first Tiger Woods. Then Jesse James. And now this. Now many more celebrity cheating scandals can we take? Too bad Tiki’s not following them to sex rehab.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino: "I’m the Reality King"

February 4th, 2010

    Robyn Ross

Jersey Shore

While Jersey Shore was MTV’s recent breakout show, (its finale scored a record-breaking 4.8 million viewers), Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino certainly was the series’ breakout star. He made a name for himself, literally, from the first episode with his third-person talk, “creeping” on housemate Sammi, and coining his daily routine — “GTL” (gym, tan, laundry). TVGuide.com spoke with him about how the show, and his body, is all real, what’s next for him, and more.

A guide to our favorite Jersey Shore slang

TVGuide.com: How real was Jersey Shore?
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino: Nothing was planned; everything is real. Everybody’s friends on the show and that’s why it’s so real. We’re actually close in real life, everybody has their own relationships, who likes who and who really likes somebody, and that’s why it’s so good on the show.

TVGuide.com: We saw a lot of partying, but did you guys ever stay in?
Situation: I’m sure you saw we went to the bowling alley, there’s a time when we went to a movie theater. There are times to go out and then there’s time to stay in. You have to pick and choose your battles. You can’t go out every night because if you do go out every night you’re not really going to look that good — it takes a little toll on you.

TVGuide.com: Speaking of a toll on your body, do you use steroids?
Situation: No way. I’m 100 percent natural. I just have very good genetics. I’ve had a six-pack since I was little, and even if I miss the gym, the six-pack is always there.

Fist Pump!: Jersey Shore returning for Season 2

TVGuide.com: Were you surprised at how tense the Season 1 reunion was?
Situation: No, I wasn’t surprised at all. Me and [Ronnie] are friends but at the same time Sam is his girl. There’s always going to be tension there between me and him, I mean we are friends first, but that’s my good friend and that’s his girl, and I had hooked up with his girl first.

TVGuide.com: Sammi walked out on the reunion, so are she and him really over?
Situation: I believe they broke up that day of the reunion. I think they got back together but then I think they recently broke up again. That’s really none of my business, their relationship; my business is The Situation.

TVGuide.com: So how’s The Situation’s love life?
Situation: Right now I take life moment by moment, I’m not really too worried about pointing out which girl. I’m focused on my career and if I see something that I like, I’ll grab it up.

The Situation “very excited” for Season 2 of Jersey Shore

TVGuide.com: What’s next for you?
Situation: There are so many things coming out for myself. I’m going to be at the Super Bowl and that’s pretty big for me. There’s a lot of things in the works for me; you never know, you might see a workout video, you might see a book. Right now I’m just taking over the reality world on this first season so I guess you could say I’m like the reality king. After that, maybe one or two more seasons max — but once you do something like that and you’re on top, you do want to move on and graduate to the next level. I’d like to do some acting and maybe even some TV or film but we’ll see.

Chris Harrison: Next Time Bachelor Jake Kicks a Girl Out of Bed, I’ll Kill Him

    Robyn Ross

Chris Harrison, Jake Pavelka

In this week’s Bachelor, the high-flying pilot Jake narrowed it down to four girls who will be taking him home to meet the parents. In her first one-on-one date with the Pavelka, Corrie revealed that she was saving herself for marriage, and finally opened up about why their relationship had been progressing at a slower pace. Too late in the game to let her guard down, Corrie was sent home. Host Chris Harrison tells TVGuide.com that Corrie most likely didn’t have a chance and explained why both he and Jake have learned from bachelorette Gia never to judge a “book by its cover.”

Life Unexpected Creator: Cate and Baze Are Not Soul Mates

January 25th, 2010

    Natalie Abrams

Life Unexpected

Whenever a new show premieres, audiences tend to pick out the couple that’s meant to be together. On Life Unexpected, it’s easy to choose Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Baze (Kristoffer Polaha) as soul mates because they have a child together, but executive producer Liz Tigelaar doesn’t quite agree. Tigelaar discussed the story behind the new CW series, what’s next for the relationships on Life, and what we’ll learn about Lux (Brittany Robertson).

Life Unexpected’s Kerr Smith talks about new series and days on the Creek

TVGuide.com: You drew inspiration for Life Unexpected from your own life.
Liz Tigelaar:
Whenever I try to write something new, I never want to try to write something about me. I think a lot of people do that and try to tell their story. This project comes from something I’m always thinking about as a kid who is adopted: “Are there people out there like me? Where did I come from? Who is my birth family?”

The main thing is this fantasy that a lot of adoptive kids have When you’re just born into a family, sometimes you joke that you wish you were adopted, but you know these are the people you came from. When you’re adopted, you think that there all these people that could be your family and create this fantasy. The inspiration for the pilot came from that idea of having a fantasy of who the mother is and then realizing that the fantasy doesn’t match the reality.

TVGuide.com: What other inspirations did you pull from that we’ll discover throughout the series?
Tigelaar:
The idea of exploring thirtysomethings today. I feel like our generation is more like women who prioritize careers over relationships and guys who still look like frat boys and play video games and drink Miller Lite. The underlying thing is the search for family and people you belong to. It’s one thing to be adopted and feel that initial rejection in your life, but you know how badly you were wanted by other people. If you remove being wanted so badly by other people, how does that rejection impact your life?

Read our Life Unexpected pilot recap

TVGuide.com: Will we learn more about Lux’s background?
Tigelaar:
Yeah. I would love to explore the reality of this kid in foster care, but I don’t know if we’re ever going to be able to truly get into the darkness and sadness of it in a recurring way. But we’re filming a flashback of little Lux and little Tasha [Ksenia Solo] at Sunnyvale, the girl’s home they met at. We show her a little before she comes to Cate and Baze. We have some of Tasha’s past coming into it and there will be other people — if there are more seasons — from Lux’s past that will affect her present. We won’t do a ton of flashbacks, but I’ve always wanted to do episodes about finding out who her other foster parents were and who she might have been attached to and let down by.

TVGuide.com: Cate and Baze did sleep together in the pilot. Will that come back to haunt them later in the season?
Tigelaar:
Obviously when something big happens like that in the pilot, with two characters carrying a significant secret, you’re waiting for it to come out. That will definitely happen, and as most secrets do, they come out at an inopportune time. In terms of Cate and Baze’s relationship, these are two people who have to really reconcile what their feelings are about each other. Because of TV, we’re trained to think that Cate and Baze belong together. But there’s a good question in there: “Really? You’re the soul mate of the guy who knocked you up in high school in the back of a minivan? Really?” Logic says that’s ridiculous.

TVGuide.com: How will this affect Cate and Ryan’s relationship?
Tigelaar:
Ryan [Kerr Smith] is the perfect guy; he’s a real man. He sees the world broadly, and he’s not a selfish man. He’s a very heroic character. Both Cate and Baze haven’t grown up. Ryan and Lux are the grownups. [It's] interesting to explore what [love is] and how Cate rationalizes what she did with Baze in sleeping with him. Does that mean she’s in love with him? What is it that he stirs up inside of her that can’t make her let the past go? We’ll explore how much of that has to do with Baze and how much that has to do with something else.

Check out photos from Life Unexpected

TVGuide.com: What is the overall arc of the series?
Tigelaar:
The arc of the series, in terms of Cate and Baze’s feelings, is both of them having to understand what their dynamic is and what their feelings really are for each other. We’ve just written the finale and it definitely comes to a head.

TVGuide.com: What is your one line pitch for fans to continue tuning in?
Tigelaar:
I would just say that if they want to watch a family show that has humor and heart, I just think this is it. I’m trying to write in the vein of shows that I admire and I would say My So-Called Life, Friday Night Lights and American Dreams are the shows that, to me, make me feel something. If people want to watch a show that will hopefully make them feel something, I hope they will tune in. It’s a total coming-of-age story; it’s just the grown-ups that have to come of age.
