When ABC’s V returns, the alien invasion series will welcome a very familiar face.

Jane Badler, who starred in the original 1983 miniseries, returns to the world as Diana, the mother of the ruthless leader of the Visitors, Anna (Morena Baccarin). While her character’s name is the same, the new Diana is nothing like the Diana of before. (Makes sense: The

Survivor’s Amanda: I’ll Never Play the Game Again

May 1st, 2010

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains - Amanda Kimmel

In addition to helping Survivor celebrate 10 years and 20 seasons on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, China and Micronesia finalist Amanda Kimmel celebrated an important personal feat during her time on Samoa: She became the first player to reach 100 days of the game. Unfortunately, the third time was not the charm for Amanda, who fell short of making it to her third tribal council. Looking back at her reality TV career, Amanda says she’s proud of what she’s accomplished, but has zero plans to return for round four. “My Survivor career is over,” she says. The 25-year-old Kimmel spoke with TVGuide.com about her biggest mistakes, why she felt the game “got too crazy” and why she won’t put herself through another season.

TVGuide.com: As you entered that tribal council, what did you think your chances were of going home?
Amanda Kimmel:
I knew they were good because a lot of talk happened before the tribal council, like Russell pulled Candice aside, and then I pulled her aside after that, and then he’d pull her back and it was like a tug of war between me and Russell with Candice. I knew there were good odds that I was going to home. But I really did think that Candice was going to vote with us, just because I really tried to explain the benefit of her voting that way instead of just saying she had to save me.

TVGuide.com: Why do you think Candice flipped to Russell’s side?
Amanda:
I think Russell got in her head, to be honest. I think he told her he wanted to be in the final two with her or something and she bought it. Candice and I had a rough relationship at the beginning of the game. We didn’t like each other, we didn’t trust each other and then we kind of fought everything out and I thought we had a really solid bond, so I was surprised that she, even with Sandra wanting to vote with us, wanted to go with the Villains … Candice had a plan and I didn’t want to do the plan and that was another reason why that happened … I think she was nervous with all the power Russell had over people. I think she wanted to be the first one to switch over.

TVGuide.com: Why did the Villains decide to vote for you rather than another Hero?
Amanda:
I was aggressive. I stole the thing from Danielle. Of course, they want to pick out the one that’s causing the most trouble and I was definitely doing that … After the reward when I didn’t get the idol, I knew it was my bad. I was looking for it the whole entire time. Colby was there but he didn’t help me a bit and I hand the bowl of popcorn [with the idol] to Danielle. So I totally took responsibility for it, for going home, because I’ve made so many mistakes. You can’t make mistakes in this game. If you make mistakes, you’re pretty much going home.

Survivor’s JT: I wouldn’t give Russell the idol again

TVGuide.com: Obviously one of the big moments was the fight between you and Danielle for the clue. What was going through your mind at that time?
Amanda:
I knew that my team was going to be toast if I didn’t find that. I’ve never heard any rules over the clues, because this is really the first time they’ve done this, so I seriously thought that whoever had it, had it. Like anyone can see it, anyone can have it. I don’t know what the exact rule is, so I didn’t know that the first person is that one that has it. I thought anyone could have it. So I was like, why not just take it? If I don’t, we’re toast, and Colby’s here, so it’s two against one, so we might as well just try it. I grabbed it and I should have just ran. I wanted to run to the bathroom, lock the door, read it and get rid of it, but that didn’t happen. Colby obviously didn’t help me. He made me feel so bad about it.

TVGuide.com: You also said that the game was getting to be too crazy for you, what did you mean by that?
Amanda:
It was just really messy. It was exhausting because at any second, Russell was trying to turn every single person on your tribe and getting into everyone’s heads … I don’t even know how the guy slept a single wink the whole entire time because it was just chaos. It was complete chaos. Anytime we had to vote or do anything or who won the reward, we had to think so far ahead. Playing this twice already, I was seriously exhausted.

One thing too is that on my tribe, I really didn’t have someone that I trusted that I could play with … You can’t really play it by yourself. … I kind of felt like a lot of things were all on me and I think that messed me up a little bit. I felt like I had way too much pressure on myself in my tribe.

TVGuide.com: How does it feel to be the first person to reach 100 days on? If they asked, would you play Survivor again?
Amanda:
No, my Survivor career is over. I’m really proud that I went over 100 days. I never thought I would do anything like this in my whole life … but I mean I wouldn’t come back. It takes a long time to get over. It’s hard to explain it, but it’s mentally and physically really hard on your body and I don’t want to put myself through it again.

Benjamin “Coach” Wade

Unfortunately, Coach’s honor wasn’t enough to save him from elimination. After Tyson Apostol and “Boston” Rob Mariano were both sent packing, Coach was the strongest male left

Dancing with the Stars Episode Recap: Monday, April 5, 2010

It’s storytelling time on Dancing with the Stars! The remaining 10 couples do their best to tell a tale through their routines. Did Chad make a comeback? Did Buzz or Kate make drastic improvements? And who danced blindfolded? Find out below!

Nothing like fancy footwork and some bedtime stories on a Monday night. As Len ordered last week, couples must tell a story in their respective dances. To prep us, we get a pro routine by Val (Maks’ brother), Jonathan, Lacey, Snejana, Dmitry and Anna D., acting out the night’s three styles through a tale of a tempestuous relationship that ends in true love.

Next we get a tease of the drama to come. Erin will dance blindfolded (the risk Maks mentioned in his blog), Niecy and Louis will portray an interracial couple in the 1960s, and Kate will dance to “Paparazzi,” aka the story of her life. There’s no teaser for Pam, but she looks like she just stepped off the cover of a trashy romance novel or one of those harlots Jack Sparrow just got done with, so I hope her story is one of those.

Evan Lysacek & Anna Trebunskaya: Quickstep
Evan’s got two broken toes, but that’s not going to stop him from Dancing. They’re performing “Hot Honey Rag” from Chicago (fitting because he’s an Illinois native) and their story is that hubby Evan is mad at wife Anna for being late. “I love me some acting,” he says. He surprisingly pulls off the acting part well with his solo in the beginning searching for Anna. The routine is crisp, fast, fun and totally works with Evan’s skyscraper-esque height. He stays in hold well and his footwork is very light, but it sometimes comes undone. Overall, it’s a respectable effort, especially considering he has two broken toes. Oh, and of course, Evan’s hair is shellacked yet again Week 3 and counting! Len totally gets the story because men always wait for ladies to turn up, but he wants him to work on his feet. Bruno says he’s ready to give Anna the ride of her life then dump her. Carrie Ann loves the twinkly athleticism and how committed he was to the character./
Score: 26

Buzz Aldrin & Ashly Costa: Waltz

Buzz and Ashly are dancing to “It’s a Wonderful World.” Their story is that Buzz is coming home from war and Ashly is his daughter. How emotionally manipulative! Buzz feels pressure to learn the routine in the shortened span, which is tough because he thinks too much. Ashly wants him to turn his mind off and just dance. Too bad he doesn’t listen to her. I think he’s dancing less in this routine than he did last week — if that’s at all possible. It’s basically him standing and holding on to Ashly before taking a step or two here and there. It’s sweet and all, as usual, but Buzz will need all the votes he can get again this week. Bruno calls it the return of the king for Buzz’s regality, but thinks it’s better to look at a statue standing still. Carrie Ann says she believed the storytelling, which worked to Buzz’s advantage because the older man might be stiffer. Len likes the innocent charm, but says the routine was oversimplified. Buzz tries to decaptiate them with his hat.
Score: 13

Jake Pavelka & Chelsie Hightower: Quickstep

Jake and Chelsie are dancing to “Walk Like an Egyptian,” so Jake is going to be a safari guy who opens up a tomb to find Cleopatra.

Eddie Cibrian

As a cast member on CSI: Miami, Eddie Cibrian is used to big explosions, gory murder scenes and lots of action. However, Cibrian’s new TV movie, Healing Hands, puts the old adage less is more to the test.

“The more subtle it is, the more believable it’s going to be,” Cibrian tells TVGuide.com. “[Director Bradford May] had the same idea, so when we were doing it, it was just a very subtle kind of thing we wanted to do on camera. We’ll let the imagination of the viewers take it to the next level.”

Imagination is an essential ingredient in film, premiering Saturday at 9/8c on the Hallmark Channel. In the film, Cibrian plays Buddy, a loving fianc

Minute to Win It - Guy Fieri

Food Network star Guy Fieri is known for his signature bleach blond hair and his skills in the kitchen. But above all, he’s known for his high-octane energy which makes Fieri a perfect match for NBC’s new game show Minute to Win It (premiering Sunday at 7/6c). In fact, Fieri says he has to watch himself on set of the new game show, which asks contestants to do perform seemingly simple — but actually difficult — tasks within one minute. “I really have to keep it in check. There are moments where I want to run right out there and put the ball in the thing for them or yell, ‘Try your left hand!’” says the 42-year-old. Fieri spoke with TVGuide.com about his biggest influences,

Chris Harrison, Jake Pavelka

In this week’s Bachelor, the high-flying pilot Jake narrowed it down to four girls who will be taking him home to meet the parents. In her first one-on-one date with the Pavelka, Corrie revealed that she was saving herself for marriage, and finally opened up about why their relationship had been progressing at a slower pace. Too late in the game to let her guard down, Corrie was sent home. Host Chris Harrison tells TVGuide.com that Corrie most likely didn’t have a chance and explained why both he and Jake have learned from bachelorette Gia never to judge a “book by its cover.”

Brothers & Sisters: Will Kitty’s Run for Office Divide the Walkers?

Calista Flockhart and Matthew Rhys, Brothers & Sisters

To make her political dreams come true, Brothers & Sisters‘ Kitty will need the full support of the Walker family.

But that doesn’t mean she’ll get it.

Brothers & Sisters boss says Flockhart will be as busy as ever

In Sunday’s episode (10/9c, ABC), Kitty (Calista Flockhart) polls the entire Walker clan about her plan to campaign for the soon-to-be-vacant senate seat left behind by her husband, Robert (Rob Lowe). Three guesses how that ends up.

“They all decide that they should take a vote like they used to do for family vacations,” executive producer David Marshall Grant tells TVGuide.com. “But Nora [Sally Field] decides that if it’s going to have meaning, it should be anonymous. So, it ends up that there’s one ‘No’ vote, and Kitty’s got to figure out who the ‘No’ vote is.”

Distracting Kitty from her mission will be Kevin (Matthew Rhys), who asks his big sister to join him at his high school reunion for moral support. “Facing high school is a challenge for him,” Grant says, adding that Kitty goes along to feel Kevin out about taking a job on her campaign staff.

See photos of the Brothers & Sisters cast

But Kevin has more on his mind. The episode will also reveal whether Kevin and Scotty’s surrogate responds to in vitro fertilization. Grant won’t say what happens with the possible pregnancy, but he suggests the prospect of fatherhood may change Kevin’s career goals.

“Kevin’s spent the whole series being a corporate lawyer, and then he moved right into being Robert’s communications director,” Grant says. “So he’s going to be facing real decisions with his life, and I think he’s definitely reaching a turning point. The impending parenthood and realizing that he doesn’t necessarily want to stay in politics with Robert is going to be a big source of Kevin’s story.”

Rob Lowe to exit Brothers & Sisters, “in talks” for new ABC franchise

With or without Kevin, Kitty’s campaign may be sidetracked by none other than Robert. “He is such a big personality, and I think he will perhaps go out campaigning for Kitty,” Grant says. “We might see some Bill Clinton-like situations when he is campaigning for his wife, and I think there could be some conflict there. Robert is deeply committed to his wife’s winning, and so that may take him to doing things that are certainly well-intended but may also cause some problems.”

Which Walker do you think will be the voice of dissent?
