Ready for more Beavis and Butt-Head? Hope so, because MTV is bringing it back this fall. Series creator Mike Judge (the big brain also behind King of the Hill and the movie Office Space) and MTV President Van Toffler, a self-described B and B fanatic, spoke to reporters Friday at the fall TV previews about why it’s coming back and how it’ll be different.

The cover for Sarah Palin’s newest book, America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag, has just been released by publisher HarperCollins.
The book is due out November 23, after the midterm elections and about a year after the release of her bestseller, Going Rogue: An American Life.
Expect the new book – and extensive book tour - to amplify the speculation over whether the ex-Alaska Governor will run for president in 2012.
It certainly would be interesting if she challenged Barack Obama.
Among the many, many things Palin ripped Obama about in the past was his writing two books and having very little to show for it legislatively.
Since the 2008 campaign, she resigned as governor to focus on her career ambitions, whatever those are, and apparently write a few herself.

Have former Vice President Al Gore and Laurie David, ex-wife of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David, been having an affair for the last two years?
That’s the allegation of a prominent celebrity gossip tabloid.
Al Gore split from wife Tipper after 40 years of marriage earlier this month, news that shocked to a public who largely viewed the Gore union as an ideal marriage.
There were very few details, rumored or confirmed, about the nature of the split. Until today, when Star said that Al Gore and Laurie David are sleeping together.

Al has supposedly been having an affair with Laurie, who divorced Larry David in 2007 amid reports she slept with the caretaker of their Martha’s Vineyard home.
No additional information, such as whether Tipper found out about the split, or whether it’s actually true, is available at this time. But an insider did tell Star:
“Al and Laurie went from friends to lovers. It couldn’t be avoided.”
Really, Star insider? It was inevitable? There was no deliberation at all? Michelle McGee would agree with that take. Al’s just doing what guys do, right? Yeesh.
Hmmm… maybe Justin Bieber is right for Kim Kardashian after all.
Consider: The young artist has been nominated for a Black Entertainment Television Award. Does anyone else see something wrong with that statement?
Bieber earned a nod in the Best New Artist category, joining Nicki Minaj, B.o.B., Young Money and Melanie Fiona. There’s something that separates Justin from those four. We just can’t put our finger on it…
Stephen Hill, BET’s President of Music Programming and Specials, said of the nomination:
“Bieber has crossed the color boundaries the same way that hip-hop has crossed the boundaries the other way for a number of years. He’s had rhythm in his music. He makes the type of music our audience likes.”
Yes, Mr. Hill just compared Justin Bieber to just transformative artists as Diddy and Snoop Dogg. We can’t sit by and let this comparison stand! We mean, come on!

Helen Wagner
Helen Wagner, best known for playing Nancy Hughes on As the World Turns for more than a half-century, has died. She was 91.
Wagner, who acted up until her death, died Saturday, the show’s New York-based production company, TeleNext Media Inc., announced. She spoke the first words on As the World Turns when it premiered in 1956, and holds the Guinness World Record for playing the same role on television for the longest time (54 years). She was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2004.

“All of us at As The World Turns are deeply saddened by Helen’s passing,” executive producer Christopher Goutman said. “She is loved by generations of fans and, while we will miss her greatly, Helen will always remain the heart and soul of As The World Turns.”
On Nov. 22, 1963, Wagner’s character was saying her lines when the broadcast was interrupted with a “CBS News Bulletin” sign and Walter Cronkite announced that President John F. Kennedy had been shot in Dallas.
Before joining the CBS soap opera, Wagner appeared on TV programs including Studio One, Philco Television Playhouse and The World of Mr. Sweeney.
Born in Lubbock, Texas, she also starred in several Broadway productions including Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Bad Seed, My Name Is Acquilon and Love of Four Colonels.
Wagner was married to Broadway producer Robert Willey from 1954 until his death in May 2009.
