When Kim Kardashian bent over for Ray J on tape, it didn’t hurt her family. In fact, that act eventually led to a reality show and global fame for a group of individuals no one would ever have heard of if Kim didn’t take one for her siblings.

(Literally!)

Similarly, while she may be crying a river in interviews, Kendra Wilkinson’s publicized intercourse will pad her and her husband’s bank account by nine figures. Hard to sympathize with her family for that decision.

However, Danielle Staub is a 47-year old mother of two and fellow Real Housewife of New Jersey Jacqueline Laurita can’t believe Danielle would expose her children to such filth as these photos and their affiliated video.

Laurita Tweeted yesterday: “Heard from a VERY reliable source that D (Danielle) released her OWN sex tape. Heard it’s disgusting. Such disregard 4 her kids. I feel horrible 4 them.”

So do we. But to give Staub the tiniest shred of credit: at least she is aware the tape will be released on June 14 and hasn’t pretended like this is some horrible, unwanted violation of her privacy.

She’s an irresponsible mother and troubled human being that clearly played a role in the production and distribution of this tape - but, hey, at least she admits it.

When hilarious news of a Mindy McCready sex tape broke Monday, we had a good laugh and wondered how long it would be until she pretended to decry its XXX release.

3… 2… 1…

“We are not aware of the production or release of the alleged film that seems to have surfaced via various media reports,” McCready’s attorney, Adam Dread, said.

“We can confirm that any illegally-obtained property, and/or fabricated footage, and the release thereof, will be dealt with swiftly following proper legal procedure.”

Got all that?

BASEBALL MISTRESS: That she was, though Roger Clemens is not involved in Mindy McCready’s sex tape, making the title kind of misleading. Funny, but misleading.

We’ve been around the celebrity sex tape block long enough to know that the statement from McCready’s lawyer was likely written with one or both of these goals:

1. To act indignant and pretend the sex tape was “leaked”
2. To get McCready in on the profits, a la Kim Kardashian

We find it unlikely Vivid would make it this far without obtaining legal waivers, but either way, you could say that she’s playing hardball … eh? Baseball Mistress?

In anticipation of its upcoming World War II miniseries The Pacific, HBO will foot the bill for 250 veterans to visit the World War II memorial in Washington next week, The Associated Press reported.

The pay cable channel said it is working with the Honor Flight Network, which pays to transport veterans to the capital.

HBO to premiere The Pacific March 14

Veterans coming from as far as Boston, Chicago and Orlando, Fla., will make the trip and participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the World War II memorial on March 11. HBO intends to use footage from the ceremony.

From the production team behind 2001’s Band of Brothers, The Pacific chronicles the U.S. fight against Japan. The 10-part series will debut March 14 on HBO.

The Pacific “is an amazing tribute to veterans overall and reminds us of the sacrifices they’ve made,” HBO marketing chief Courteney Monroe told the AP. “We really wanted to use this opportunity to honor these veterans and thank them for the sacrifices they’ve made.”

In 2001, HBO flew veterans to the site of the D-Day invasion in Normandy, France, for the Band of Brothers‘ premiere.

Conan O’Brien is again in business with NBC. The network has greenlit an hourlong pilot from his production company, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

NBC dumps Conan for $45 million payoff; reinstates Jay as Tonight Show host

Justice follows an ex-Supreme Court justice who quits to open his own practice. The pilot comes from Conaco and UMS production companies.

Part of O’Brien’s $33 million contract states that his NBC-based company would continue to operate until the end of development season.
