America's Got Talent(S05E15) “It’s time to unleash the talent.” - Nick

We saw great talent tonight, but also performers who didn’t deliver the goods and even got an X or two from the judges. But that’s to be expected when some rather bad acts were voted through to the Top 48, no?

Who will join Nathaniel, Fighting Gravity, Christina & Ali, and Future Funk in the Top 16? Time to review the next group of Top 48 performers, which includes “impersonator” Ronith, singer Michael Grimm, and rock climbing performers AscenDance!

‘So You Think You Can Dance’ - ‘1 of 7 Voted Off’ Recap

July 16th, 2010

The bottom three of SYTYCD: Jose, Billy, and Ashley(S07E15) As Cat welcomes America to ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ we’re reminded that Ashley will be in the bottom three. I’m quite confused as to why we weren’t allowed to see Ashley at all this week as last week Alex was sobbing in the audience. Seeing her being able to stand up for the final three should have allowed her to sit in the audience.

Group Dance
- Broadway - With more of the contestants being eliminated, using the All-Stars seems like an interesting choice for choreographers. I don’t think I saw Jose once during the routine except for when he carted Cat onto the stage. The fact that Dominic was doing all of the break moves shows that Tyce either didn’t like Jose’s repertoire or that he’s not confident in Jose. The line routine was the best part of the dance, but I have to raise an eyebrow seeing that Kent was the last one standing on the table. Was that a subliminal message?

‘Big Brother 12′ - HoH #1 Season Premiere Recap

July 9th, 2010

Julie Chen talks to the houseguests on 'Big Brother 12'(S12E01) It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for … the season premiere of ‘Big Brother 12‘ complete with a saboteur in the house! Everything is in place for yet another summer of guilty pleasure voyeurism. Our favorite ChenBot (Julie Chen) is back hosting, yet without glitter for this season’s premiere. Some things never change, though. I clocked her first “but, first …” of the season two minutes into the show.

Ah, but we need to get into the skinny, don’t we? The first impressions of the new hamsters in action, the first Head of House dvd boxset hold competition and, but of course, that saboteur twist. Read on!

Tareq and Michaele Salahi Will Actually Star on The Real Housewives of D.C.

March 27th, 2010

Sorry, Sarah Palin.

Incredibly, you’re NOT the most pathetic person to land a new reality show this month.

Tareq and Michaele Salahi - the absolute morons who crashed a party at the White House last year - won’t simply star in The Real Housewives of D.C.; the awful couple will be a focal point of the Bravo program.

Michaele and Tareq Salahi

The Salahis actually averted the Secret Service and shook hands with President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and many others in November 2008. Reportedly, the pair was being filmed as part of its audition for this series when the crashing took place.

A dozen episodes of the first season have been shot and are slated to premiere in July, according to The Daily Beast. Paris Hilton’s aunts and Kelsey Grammer’s wife will also star on the show.

Looks like the competition for This Year’s Sign of the Apocalypse is over before it began.

Kim and Kyle Richards, Others Confirmed for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

March 21st, 2010

Phew. We really do need more members of the Hilton family in our lives…

E! News has learned the identity of the cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - and, as previously reported, they included Paris’ aunts Kim and Kyle Richards.

Among other socialites that will show us just how real housewives of Beverly Hills can be…

Camille Donatacci Grammer: Pictured. Former Playboy model, wife of Kelsey Grammer for 13 years. Has two children, ages six and nine, both born via a surrogate mother because Grammer has severe irritable bowel syndrome.

Kelsey Grammer, Wife

Adrienne Maloof-Nassif: Her family owns the Palms casino and the Sacramento Kings. Married to Dr. Paul Nassif, a plastic surgeon who has appeared on multiple episodes of E!’s Dr. 90210.

Lisa Vanderpump-Todd: A former actress. Co-owns two restaurants with husband Kenneth Todd. Has three children. Sources say many series scenes will be shot at Villa Blanca, one of the couple’s establishments.

In related news: if you care one iota about the lives of these women, you should schedule an appointment with a psychologist immediately.

Alex McCord: Out of The Real Housewives of New York City?

February 5th, 2010

Try to hold back the tears, reality TV fans:

Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen are reportedly out of The Real Housewives of New York City. Sources tell The New York Daily News “there are a ton of reasons they aren’t being asked back” for a fourth season of the Bravo hit.

Such as…

“Viewers don’t have a positive reaction to them, so they’re easily replaceable at this point,” an insider said, while Simon himself doesn’t deny the rumor, saying:

“We have not had any discussions regarding a fourth season.”

Moreover, the newspaper says the couple doesn’t “really fit in with the other wives,” while Simon threw a “hissy fit” when he discovered he was paid less than everyone else.

“Simon wants to be an equal on the show, but that doesn’t really make any sense to Bravo,” the source said. “After all, he’s not a ‘Real Housewife,’ now is he?”

No, he certainly is not. Then again, we’re pretty sure neither Bethenny Frankel nor Kelly Bensimon is married… or real in any sense of the word.

The third season of The Real Housewives of New York City premieres on March 4. In it, “Alex picks a lot of fights, and it looks like it’s an attempt to keep her story line relevant,” said the insider. “But it ended up seeming inauthentic.”

As compared to the rest of this totally believable, not remotely scripted show, of course.
